UNIT 3: FAMILY MATTERS

Different Types of Families

In the last few decades,  families have changed significantly. New combinations of family households are more common than ever before, with the increase in divorce and remarriage, adoption, single parenthood and same-sex relationships. A mother and father living together with their children is now just one possibility among many. In short, a family is any group of people who live together, share with one another, work together, care and support each other, keep each other safe and love each other.

UNIT 2: OUT AND ABOUT

WESTFIELD SHOPPING CENTRE

            The picture of the week

People dancing in the street in Málaga.

Hi teacher! I wanted to send you this...

It is a picture about people dancing in a street in Málaga. I think that the picture is a 'romeria', a fair,
or a similar party. There are many people dancing flamenco and they are drinking.  People are having fun. In this party, people are wearing the same clothes in different colours, red and white or traditional clothes for these kind of parties.
See you tomorrow.

Another picture...

In this picture, people are asking for some fish (sardines) and the fish is free! Many people are eating and drinking here.  This day is celebrated at the beach ‘La Carihuela’, in Torremolinos .

The cooks are preparing different types of fish, and they are also cooking  paella.

People are having some fun because it is a great party.

In this picture, people are buying in a shop, talking with someone, driving a car and driving a bus.
Some people are walking quickly, some people is going for a walk, eating a hamburger and waiting for the green light of the traffic light to cross the road.
Some people are sitting on the step, spending the time sending text messages.
This is London!

Boarding...
The people are in an airport. A man is walking by himself to the airplane. A family is posing for a photograph; a little girl, a young woman and an older couple. The young woman and the girl are looking at the camera and smiling. A lot of people are boarding  or standing next to it, all of them with bags or small suitcases.
